Report now leads with a verdict — on track, at risk, off track — the gate that verdict grades, and a forecast finish date from the pace actually achieved. Under it sits what needs a decision: gate criteria still unmet, high-priority work nobody owns, anything blocked or overdue. A sponsor can stop after the first screen and still know what is being asked of them; the charts and the weekly digest follow for whoever has to act.
Time spent on a task was being counted in wall-clock hours and measured against estimates written in working ones, so a task opened on Monday and closed on Friday read as 96 hours against a 16-hour estimate. It is converted properly now, which makes the estimate-accuracy charts worth reading for the first time.
A project's phases now read as one sequence rather than a row of buttons — the gate in flight at full strength, the settled ones quiet behind it, and the same marker used in the sidebar, the project rows, the cards and the portfolio wall. The gate itself was rebuilt around what it is for: what is blocking it, the evidence behind each criterion, and who signed it off.
The project summary opens on the gate it is at — how ready it is, what is blocking it, and the button that closes the phase — with the project details moved to a side panel. The phase page puts the same gate in a rail beside the work, a task reads as a document rather than a form, and every tag gained a gate wall showing where each project in the portfolio is stuck.
Home opens on a sentence instead of a list: what needs deciding, how many projects you carry, and which one is slipping — with the reason next to it. Below it sit the decisions only you can settle, every gate you own ranked worst first, and your own week split into overdue, today and this week. Nothing is written by a model; every figure is counted and every verdict is scored.
